One way of resisting ongoing colonialism in social work education is to centre teaching and learning resources created by Indigenous people. Elevating Indigenous content creators ensures that Indigenous perspectives, worldviews, culture, and priorities are portrayed accurately and authentically.
There is an increasing availability of relevant, meaningful, and inspirational multimedia materials that are germane to social work education. We have included what is only a beginning compilation of valuable materials that are either solely Indigenous created or have significant contributions by Indigenous people. We envision this as a good starting place. As you discover additional materials feel free to send them to us so we can include them for others to access (See Contact section for submission).
