As a School, we collectively believe that building relationships with Indigenous partners and communities is essential to decolonizing social work education. We acknowledge that given the role of the social work profession in historical and ongoing harm toward Indigenous Peoples, that it will rightfully so, take time to repair, develop, and nurture relationships with Indigenous communities and partners. One way the Indigenous Resurgence Project started relationship building was to host the first Indigenous Social Services Agency Fair. We also developed a resources guide that will help Indigenous students to connect and to build relationship with the Indigenous community on campus. To learn more about this resource and the Agency Fair, please see below.
