We Were Children

In this feature film, watchers get a glimpse into the lives of Lyna and Glen, who were stolen from their respective families and placed in the Canadian government’s residential school system and exposed to physical, sexual and emotional abuse, demonstrating the tragedies Indigenous communities have undergone at the hands of colonization.
